Hi everyone, I'm sorry I cant make it to Dublin this wednesday or for saturdays fair. I'm more than broke & I dont really have the time. I know you must all be busy and constrained by money and your time as well.   But I have made this flyer for IOPS to give out & hopefully recruit with, it suits the audience at the Anarchist fair & asks them to check the IOPS Ireland website.     I can print them myself & I've got enough paper and ink to make 120 flyers or…

I thought this lecture would be an interresting thing to share. Say about RBE or the ZGM what you want, I see some elements (participatory planning and distrubution according to need) of Parecon in it. On the other hand this sounds more like full communism than Parecon, the latter which seems more socialist in model. I always found the concept of a communist society interesting, I'm actually pleasantly suprised to see something more tangable on it than old writing from the 19th to early 20th…

NSA and FBI: Their Bite is Worse than their Bark   by Richard Greeman   Glenn Greenwald’s discovery that the FBI and other U.S. secret police agencies are now using the Internet to play the same ‘dirty tricks’ tactics to discredit, subvert and incriminate targeted individuals and radical organizations as they did in the Sixties through COINTELPRO, comes as no surprise to me.[1] The difference today is that back then they would send a human ‘investigator’…

I'm drunk. An old friend just dropped by. A muso, rather well known , singer song writer guitarist who also gets Frank Zappa. Had a great time catching up. It's been a long time. Now however, he has left and I am sitting in front of the computer thinking about the Chomsky/ Albert dilemma. Yes, dilemma. Did Is ay that I was drunk? I'm having trouble with this dilemma. It IS causing me angst. Is Chomsky right? Is Albert right? Does it matter. Sorry, what dilemma?  The one that occurs when Noam…

I recently read Ayn Rand's Virtue of Selfness. I made this video as a critique of her underlying principles and pro capitalist views. I make the argument at the core of Rand's philosophy she is both anti-democratic and anti-rational in her views. Rand's philosophy of self interest is loaded with contradiction, which is ironic, because she state that an objectivist can't live with contradictions.

IOPS Dublin and IOPS Vienna have joined forces with social movement activists, altermondialists, migrants, precarious and industry workers, party members, unionists and many others in order to organize a series of decentralized actions all over Europe, starting on 15 May, the anniversary of the Spanish 15-M Movement, and ending on 25 May, the end of the elections to the European Parliament. Our common theme is Solidarity beyond Borders – Building Democracy from Below, which involves the following…

I believe, given the vast and ever-expanding accumulation of evidence, that I am a Homosapien primate descending from the same ancestors that fathered a great many other primate species including chimpanzees, gorillas and orangutans. By extension, I believe that all human beings belong to a family tree that extends to the beginning of life on our planet and includes every living and extinct organism to exist and to have ever existed. I also believe there to be no predetermination or reason for one’s…

From 2009 to 2010, an Atlanta Participatory Society group existed. We called ourselves simply ParSoc for short.  If IOPS had been around at that point, we would have formed the Atlanta IOPS chapter.  We had an average of around 10 members at any point.  The group dissolved for a number of reasons, but I want to cover here what I think was the main reason.  Most of this is specific to our context and may not apply to other areas. The group was divided over a single fundamental…
